This site does lots of things! It has several kinds of dictionaries (including one for pronunciation), a thesaurus, a translator, a currency converter, an acronym "decoder" and much more.
AltaVista Translation Service
This site provides free translation of web pages or text from English to French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian-- or vice versa. The translations are far from perfect; sometimes they're quite laughable--especially when idioms are involved. However, this service can provide a usable starting point for translating documents.
