Stems: erect, not rooting at nodes; twigs light green, angled, roughened with scattered brownish glands, glabrous to puberulent, flexible.
Leaves: evergreen, alternate, not clustered; stipules thin, deciduous; petioles 3--6 mm; blades ovate-elliptical, 2.5--5.0 x 1.7--1.9 cm, bases rounded, 3-veined, margins not revolute, glandular-denticulate, glandular-serrate to +/- en tire, tips acute to obtuse, abaxially pale green, puberulent on veins, adaxially dark green, glabrous, plane.
Inflorescences: terminal, panicle-like, 10.0--30.0 cm. Flowers bright blue.
Flowers: bright blue.
Fruits: subglobose, +/- 4 mm broad, smooth, shiny; horns 0; valve crests minute.
