&lt;strong&gt;Analyst Programmer - Competency Level 3: &lt;/strong&gt;Design develop and implement projects and participation in the design
review &amp;amp; testing phases of projects. Design, analyze and code
programs in HTML, PHP, SQL, JavaScript and other appropriate languages
for use in the Web browser based environment. Examine application
interface between the users and underlying application code. Develop
and modify complex Web-based applications in a team programming
environment. Document all code and processes following standards
outlined by the team. This position performs these duties in
collaboration with other programmers. Act as an advanced resource for
other programmers. Provide problem resolution and advanced
troubleshooting for problems that are escalated from other parts of
CWS. This position is the highest level in the escalation chain for
complex system issues.

 <title>Brief shell, ftp, SMB and MySQL server downtime 10/18/08 6:00am</title>

 <description>The CWS shell, FTP, SMB and MySQL database server will be offline&lt;br /&gt;
at 6:00am, Saturday, October 18th, 2008 to apply a kernel update.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Full service will be restored by 6:30am.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Websites which do not rely upon database connectivity will be completely&lt;br /&gt;
functional during this maintenance.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Drupal websites which use a database back end will default to serving up&lt;br /&gt;
a local cached copy of their content during this outage.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Websites which do rely upon database connectivity will experience an&lt;br /&gt;
outage during this window, where attempted queries will fail.&lt;br /&gt;

Students must be well-versed in XHTML and CSS.  Previous programming experience in PHP and mySQL is preferred. Strong communication skills and experience in a team environment is helpful.  Experience with Drupal is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;

Information Services, Central Web Services (CWS) is looking for student sytems administrators with LAMP administration skills.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Students must be well-versed fundamentals of LAMP administration.  Previous experience with Debian and Apache2 preferred. Experience with programming in Perl, Python, Ruby is a plus.  Strong communication skills and experience in a team environment is helpful.  Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;
